Join the Creative Care revolution! TimeSlips inspires people with dementia to hone and share the gifts of their imagination; and inspires others to see beyond memory loss to recognize remaining strengths. We offer training and support to build Creative Communities of Care that engage elders, volunteers, staff and families. We are evidence-based, award-winning, person centered and joyful.
This TimeSlips training workshop is ideal for elder care professionals as well as those in arts, culture and education.
Through a combination of instruction, interaction and practice, attendees will learn:
The link between person-centered care and creative engagement.
That late life is a time for growth, meaning, purpose, and expression.
The TimeSlips improvisational storytelling method.
How to connect to our international TimeSlips network of facilitators
How to use TimeSlips digital tools to support your creative engagement practice.
Research suggests that TimeSlips can:
Increase the quality and quantity of interactions between staff and residents in care settings.
Improve staff and student attitudes toward people with dementia.
Improve affect and communication among people with dementia.
Decrease distressed behaviors among people with dementia.
Increase social engagement among people with dementia.
Pre-registration required. Limited to 45. Fee: $25.
